Seminars

As a result of numerous requests we received from current and prospective clients, we plan to offer seminars focused on practical issues related to the creation and utilization of intellectual property (IP). Currently we intend to offer an introduction to IP seminar and an advanced IP seminar.

While we are still in the process of designing the content of the seminars, the introduction to IP seminar will introduce the various types of IP and the processes involved with obtaining and protecting rights in the IP. The introduction to IP seminar will touch on strategies for identifying and protecting the IP. Furthermore, the introduction to IP seminar will introduce offensive and defensive strategies for utilizing IP including technology transfer and litigation.

The advanced IP seminar will provide more depth and insight for strategies to build and manage an IP portfolio as well as methods for protecting and benefitting from that IP portfolio.

The target audiences for the seminars will be entepenuers and upper management of small to medium-sized businesses as well as non-IP attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants. The non-IP attorneys will receive CLE credits for attending the seminars. Anyone desiring to protect an idea or other intellectual property, however, will find the basic seminar very useful.
