LEGAL EXPERIENCE


Application and Prosecution: Foreign and domestic patent, copyright, and trademark application preparation and prosecution including successful appeals to the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board; trademark and patent applications in technical areas including computer architecture; designs; aviatorial devices, securities trading; GUI applications; software; Internet business solutions; semiconductor processes; telecommunications; geophysics; signal processing; fiber optic systems; navigation systems; both the mechanical and chemical arts.

Litigation: Patent, copyright, and trademark infringement, dilution, DTPA, breach of warranties, trade secret misappropriation, and trespass offense and defense; witness interviews; witness preparations; extensive discovery; negotiations; depositions; and oral hearings. Drafting complaints and answers for patent, copyright and trademark infringement and unfair competition; subpoenas; motions; requests for production; interrogatories; requests for admissions; expert reports; and deposition strategies. Lodging and defending successful oppositions and cancellations before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Conducting due diligence and various intellectual property analyses.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE


Mr. Osterrieder worked at Lawrence Livermore and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories in transuranic chemistry, and specifically in plutonium complexing siderophores which involved inorganic and organic synthesis, radiochemical separation, and various wet and fast chemistry techniques. Further, Mr. Osterrieder has worked at NASA Langley Research Center with a focus on computational fluid dynamics. Mr. Osterrieder has also taught all levels of chemistry to high school students and freshmen chemistry lab at the University of California, Berkeley. Finally, Mr. Osterrieder has work experience in dosimetry, UV and thermal curing inks, polymeric matrix systems, vaginal diseases and pregnancy tests.
